You should plan to spend a half day at the DZ for your first tandem skydive. You will first attend a safety lecture and sign your disclaimer.
Please plan to wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes (no open toes). Don’t worry if you only packed sandals to wear on your vacation in Paradise – we got you covered! We have close-toed shoes you can borrow. You will also be asked to wear a jumpsuit and goggles to keep your eyes and clothes protected.
After being harnessed to your tandem jumpmaster, the plane will take off! You will be able to enjoy the stunning views from high above the Mariana Islands!
Are you ready!? Your tandem jumpmaster will give you instructions to ensure you are in the safest position possible to depart the aircraft. Time to get down!
Enjoy 15-seconds to 1-minute of freefall depending on your altitude. You don’t have to worry about the freefall creating the “roller coaster drop” feeling. The feeling is actually similar to floating and the air resistance all around you creates a degree of cushioning and support.
At approximately 5,500 feet, your instructor will deploy the main parachute allowing you to take in the surrounding views while skydiving over Guam or Saipan with approximately five minutes of peaceful flying.
You will land at the Drop Zone. Don’t worry! Your feet will be lifted as you land, and your tandem jumpmaster will make sure you land as nice and smoothly as possible. After a ride in the van back to our office, you will receive a completion certificate from your instructor after landing. Congrats on your first skydiving lesson!
